you can't expect them to waste time making announcements in response to every rumour flying around out there.
There are strict rules with regard to the release of price sensitive information. If it doesn't come from the company, you need to be cautious.
ASX hasn't given them a speeding ticket so nothing to say.
I hope the recent price action is a result of this $40m expenditure rumour.
