Here's another way of looking at it. Will Bengalla provide a better ROI at current coal prices than the cash sitting in the bank earning 2% or 3%? If you're of the assumption that the coal price will recover over the next few years, how's that ROI going to look then?
As mentioned Bengalla has a long life, with room to ramp up production, and is a lost cost quality asset. With a long term view, I personally think it's a great buy.
