I was thinking that same thing. But as mentioned in the previous post, I think ex-dividend date will be 24 August.
This fall is crazy. Telstra is maintaining a 14cps (28cps per annum) fully franked dividend. At this price, it makes TLS one of the best yielding stocks on the market.
I bought in at $2.99. That makes the yield 9.36%.
Then add in the franking credit, and that gives a yield of 12.17%.
How many stocks on the ASX can give that sort of cash return on an investment.
