    There are more than two schools of thought,  but those two are the major ones.


    As far as your reference to the impact introduction of military intelligence, the version which I happen to suspect is true is that Trump was not "installed"

    (though he may have been).


    The version I think has credibility is that the military said they were going to stop the overthrow, by coup if necessary, and they asked if Trump would run. 


    Trump agreed, on condition that the whole campaign and the elimination of the criminals be done LEGALLY. Trump cannot have legitimacy if a military junta just arrests everybody. 


    The size and scope of the corruption goes well beyond the partisan politics in the United States, as we are learning. But Trump is doing things by the book (so far),  and it takes time.
