Then you answered your own question with a an excellent example !

With this outlook you will never be able to analyze the world and understand what's going on. "They" are not "destroying themselves". The disgusting crime underway in Yemen is an outcome of the US drive to dominate the Middle East against it's rivals on the world stage.
The US and it's ally Saudi Arabia (you know 9-11 and all that) are preparing to bomb and starve millions of people. Led by an Australian commander, US and French special forces involved. Next stop Iran. Got zero to do with religion.

We are all part of it.
