The key words IMO are "maximizing the economic value".
The key question IMO is this: are we talking in the short term, medium term or long-term?
Combine this with the post that Fingers just put forward re Pebble profits (ie, takeovers) and my concern remains that we are talking about maximising short-term profits, not long-term profits.
