didn't us army terminate recon/eos contract ??

Before we all get carried away with a possible mega billion dollar contract with the US Army for more CROWS systems, wasn't EOS a partner (ok - lets called them sub-contractor - but pretty significant one) with Recon for the manufacture of the initial CROWS systems in 2005 to 2007 but terminated by the US Army as well as placed third in a three horse competition for the tender of new genration CROWS in late 2007.

Do you remember the scathing GAO Report(that's US Government Audit Office)of the tenders that placed Recon/EOS third and deemed "unsatisfactory" in a number of vital areas. [In fairness to Recon/EOS the GAO report seems a bit over the top, however you can't deny the bad blood built up by the US Army towards Recon (primarily I understand), but how much of this dripped onto EOS!!]

What's changed since then?. EOS's financial standing would not meet US Army acceptable contractor status so who are they going to partner with this time. Let's hope they pick a party better than Recon and let's hope they manage the partnership relationship alot better.

The writer declares a previous involvement with EOS but has in his opinion pointed out only factual issues for current and future EOS shareholders to consider.
