Since we are in profit mode....
Last year's second half profit was announced on August 22 (may have been after market close, but I may be wrong).
The next day the SP gapped up about $2.35.
Not exactly earth shattering. It then traded sideways for the next week.
Like this year, the profit came about a week or so after the most recent SP low, $31 on August 16. The rally continued to the then all-time-high of $47 in October.
Let's hope history repeats.... That is, that we had our recent low on August 5, and we rally to next Monday's profit and beyond. :))
