I think what you guys are talking about is known as "Beggar thy neighbour" policy, of a form of it: By lowering the value of the currency, a nation makes imports dearer and exports cheaper. Hence, stimulating domestic production while putting supply pressure on foreign production.
ARB produces in Thailand, a lower Baht makes input cost cheaper, giving ARB more bang for the buck. I am not sure if they manufacture in the US, but if not, if they only sell in the US, then a lower USD, i.e. a dearer AUD would not be good for ARB's bottom line.
