The Thai baht was in a 4 year trend of getting dearer agains the AUD. It appears that COVID19 has produced a trend reversal in the AUD THB relation since around the 20th of March this year, pretty much around the time the ASX recovered from its low. I have read guesswork / opinion that the pandemic will work its way through SE Asia hard and therefore weaken they economic output and put pressure on their currency. So this play could go on for a while.
