As far as the bush goes, the potential for electric powered vehicles for agricultural use is something worth considering. I have lived on large properties that relied on solar power for electricity. The diesel and petrol costs when it has to be delivered by drums or trucked from town is substantial even with the fuel rebate. If you could charge your trucks and bikes and tractors overnight from your local solar setup that would make the idea well worth exploring.
I'd sure invest in a company that involved in setting up electric vehicle infrastructure in agriculture.
With fewer moving parts and modular systems, working on a electric vehicle may well be simpler than maintaining modern ICE vehicles. I for one am happy to work on engines in old vehicles but wouldn't touch my modern petrol/diesel motors as I do not have the technology or skills.
