good job with the weight loss

Not sure if posted already in the thread, but in a normal (non-keto) diet, the body stores energy as glycogen, derived from carbohydrates. If you start a keto diet, your body starts to use up this glycogen and the water bound to it is released. This is the cause of the immediate short term weight loss that you usually see when starting keto diets.

Similarly if you are on a keto diet and have an Indian meal with rice and nan bread, the glycogen levels and associated water levels get restored and your weight immediately goes up.

Over the long term, research shows the key driver of fat loss is a calorie deficit not the type of diet i.e. a keto diet with a calorie deficit of 1,000kcal a day is equally effective as a non-keto diet with a calorie deficit if 1,000kcal a day. That said some people find the keto diet easier to stick too - it can very hard to eat 5,000kcal of steak a day……

Whilst scrolling through, I saw this ad below - if you have the willpower to eat this little for 14days, you are guaranteed to lose weight. The type of food is not that different to my regular diet but the quantity I have is very different - typically I have:

Breakfast - 3 toast, half an avocado, 3 slices smoked salmon

Lunch - 2 eggs, 2 toast, 2 slices smoked salmon, half avocado, spinach

Afternoon - 1 banana and 3 spoons Greek yogurt

    Dinner - 300g steak or salmon plus broccoli/ cauliflower/corn/bokchoy
