I want to put a different perspective on the discussion. Things here are too pessimistic as people are looking at the billions needed to bring this into operation compared to the small MV of Hot Chili.
For me the PFS work has been about delivering a large scale project to attract big players in copper mining to forming a JV or other strategic relationship. The resource is not yet tier 1 scale but this is the attraction of LV, where I can see the benefit of not drip feeding the market with drilling news but rather coming out with the full results of stage 1 drilling, with the message going to the potential interested mining ,majors. LV could be a game changer as adding additional copper/gold to the PFS resource, likely takes this into tier 1, with 30 year + mine life and much higher NPV
The fundamentals for copper have never been better. The non stop roll out and development of AI requires huge global data centers driving significant electrification needs. In addition there is significantly increased defense spending where electronic systems become critical in modern day equipment. Copper is now talked about as a critical material, but meaningful new supply is years away
For me current retail investor negativity and declining share price has been a great buying opportunity. I for sure have not come into this for a small scale copper project that Hot Chili could develop alone with low capital outlay.
