Hi Soul surfer, a few points from me.
firstly it's a monthly chart and as such is missing around 90% of the data needed to allow a reasonable analysis. Ultimately it's as valuable as a long term ma which on its own isn't.
secondly is your volume is actually value, at no time during that spiked period was there volume that high (IG ?), your Y however does match up with value which will naturally err to the high side on high price bars.
there's a whole lot more but for the bottom line is I wouldn't give too much value to his work.
