Aimone,

NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- The Energy Information Administration expects oil prices to gradually rise through the end of next year, the agency said Tuesday in its monthly short-term energy outlook.
Benchmark U.S. crude oil will on average cost $79.83 a barrel in 2010, up from the previous outlook for $78.67 a barrel, the agency said. Prices are seen increasing from an average $77 a barrel in the first quarter of 2010 to $85 a barrel by the fourth quarter of 2011. In 2011, prices will average $83.50 a barrel, the agency said.

The International Energy Agency raised its 2011 global crude oil demand forecast for a fourth month as the economic recovery gathers momentum.
Worldwide oil consumption will rise by 1.4 million barrels a day, or 1.6 percent, to 89.1 million a day, the Paris-based adviser said today in its monthly Oil Market Report. Thats 360,000 barrels a day more than it estimated last month. OPEC will need to increase supplies to meet the additional demand, the IEA said. Crude prices above $95 a barrel pose a real economic risk, the agency said.
But regardless of the accuracy or otherwise of these forecasts, or yours for that matter, the current price of FAR has very little to do with the near term oil price. Most of FAR's prospects would, if successful, not be producing oil in commercial quantities for at least 2-3 years, and if the POO is too low to be attractive then they can just plug the well until it is.
I've looked up a quite a number of oil juniors that have been swallowed up by major players and have not found one, even when oil was less than 60$/bbl that was valued at less than USD $10/bbl. Base your sums on that, using FAR's total prospects and what you consider to be a realistic risk discount factor, and you'll figure out why the share price is still pretty good value. All in my humble opinion of course.
Nice to see the long termers rewarded for their patience....
Cheers all,
MM
