when i was a prospective traveller to Europe after finishing uni, or when i was a first home buyer, i was eager to beat the same path as those who had done it before me because of the perceived benefit.
only afterwards did i realise that sightseeing was not the way I enjoyed myself in travel(i prefer diving/fishing trips where i do something) and when it came to property i had this overwhelming urge to change what I had bought to make it to my own taste and to constantly fix things that weren't perfect
so after the two experiences I realised it was from my perspective highly overrated
