I half respect your first comment. Imbeciles is not a nice word I’ll admit. That little outburst is a result of so many posters claiming they just want impartial comments, fairly weighing the pros and cons or they just want meaningful stock analysis etc etc, but then they proceed to see the worst in every move the Co makes and even manage to bag the obviously positive announcements (eg WGL gets first slot on tv and the first few posters cry that it’s only on Adelaide tv. Well it’s got to start somewhere, it’s not going to be a broadcast to the world!). The posting behaviour of these people totally contradicts their own claims to want good analysis and discussion. I don’t even need to argue this, the record is for everyone to see!
It is frustrating because it clogs up the forum with posts that contribute nothing, are based on their own emotions, often carry incorrect info and isn’t based on actual research (hmmm does your post fit that description?). So apologies for the harsh word, but yes that’s pretty much how I feel!
And I’ll add that I’ve tried to engage various posters on their ideas to understand their criticisms of wgl so I could learn from these people who pose as being wise and experienced, but you quickly find there is nothing under the surface. They have a go at wgl management but then if you ask what they would do their responses are piss weak.
So yes I’m frustrated at pointless posting.
As for your Skittles comment, another great contribution to the thread, thanks.
So as not to contribute a post totally dedicated to bad posting habits, I’ll leave you with this. WFI fb page passed 5000 followers on the weekend, so that’s a nice little milestone (I’m sure you saw this in your own research). Following pages on fb is a fickle thing coz some major organisations have almost nothing to show the way of follower numbers, while others we’ve never heard of pull big numbers. Also I’d add that on WFI page you can now see how WFIs articles every couple of days get different uptake in ‘likes’ and ‘shares’ depending on the topic. Fb data would be analysing all this, so if the co is doing their job right they’ll be increasingly tailor their future articles to hit their target audience.
That’s a bit from my weekend research.
