I use the term 'management' loosely here!!

Every time CVI needed to pump the share price, they'd trumpet and fanfare the "We're gunner do this, build this, buy this, make this" etc....and as yet, I can't reacall anything they've ACTUALLY done that they were 'gunner'.
Oil refineries, offshore oil leases, onshore oil leases, building diamond separators, drilling for copper in what was supposed to be Angolas finest copper rich region of CdeB etc.....
Instead, the fanfare is for all the wrong reasons, puts people out of work, dessimates real share holders, and lines the pockets of the wrong people.

Just found that over at CDU, to show a different management method, they just went out and bought things, well under market value, saved the shareholders a small fortune, and didn't even trumpet it around - it was simply a book entry and small mention in the Annual Report.

Sheesh - how refreshing - and my point is - it's something to look for in future investments.

If management are crowing constantly about things that never come to fruition like CVI have - heed the warning bells, and look a bit deeper, particularly with deals shrouded in Sovereign Risk and major partners hiding in offices in Belize or other offshore tax havens.

Just my whinge for the day!
