if soldiers in australia get a free flight home at xmas, then surely, soldiers based overseas, are entitled to the same deal.
the story is about "single soldiers". single soldiers get free board and lodgings (ok - not too sure about that, but at the very least, it would be heavily subsidized)... but everything would be provided.
sure the government might look, like they are being mean, but maybe the people complaining, are meaner. a single soldier, should be able to afford the flight home
