I agree with you that an announcement is long overdue. What the [....] is going on at PPX?

It is inconceivable that the company is not now so far out of line with consensus market expectations that they are not under an obligation to update.

I suspect that what is happening is they are thinking maybe if they keep quiet and pretend nothing bad is happening or needs to be announced, all the nasties will go away.

In fact the opposite is true. The whole point of regulation is to keep the market informed even if (and especially when)things are going badly, thereby giving shareholders the info they need to put pressure on the Board to get them a better return on their capital, or get out.

Or, to put it another way - investors understand that if it's all gone quiet, there's probably something very wrong. It's no good hiding behind the sofa, the nasties are still there, and the more you hide the angrier they get.

It's called capitalism.
