I agree with chakay, we have waited so long that I would have thought Mgt would have advised that they had indeed reached the target depth for the B20.
The rest was covered in the update (so we have another month to wait):
"The current plan is to drill into the top of the B20 sandstone, POOH and RIH with a core barrel and take a
9m (30ft) core of the reservoir. Coring operations are expected to continue on the strength of oil shows and
the presence of sandstone at the base of the first core. Wireline logging operations would follow. If there
are good indications of moveable hydrocarbons in the reservoir, Hawkley plans to carry out an openhole
test of the B20 with the aim of establishing whether the formation can produce at a commercial flow
rate(s). Hawkley expects that the well will penetrate the B20 sandstone within the next few days. Subject to
operational conditions, the basic components of the forward plan are as follows:
• Cut a 9m core through the B20 reservoir
• Drill ahead approximately 100m to drill through the B21 target interval
• Log the open hole, up to the 9 5/8” casing point at 2,200m
• Conduct open hole test(s), contingent on interpretation of wireline logs indicating movable oil
• Based on obtaining a flow from the reservoir, casing would be run and cemented, then perforated
and a commercial test run.
THE ENTIRE SEQUENCE IS EXPECTED TO TAKE 28 DAYS FROM THE START OF RUNNING THE IN THE HOLE WITH THE CORING ASSEMBLY.
Subject to operational conditions, additional coring and testing will be carried out as considered
appropriate."
I have added the uppercase for clarity. DYOR.
