TBH I think the Biden influence on REE in the last couple of days and long term is more in the green energy demand than China, my guess is that the US China relations will veeeeeeeeeery slowly thaw over the next 4 years, but we could obviously get a price spike if the Chinese decide to do a play of the REE card while it still has leverage. I hope not as I need to hold most of my positions longer for the tax man/woman not to take a boat load ...

That said, the US Pivot to Asia, aka China started under Obama so maybe nothing will change, Trump may have used North Korea style language and done a few things differently but the strategic direction overall isn't radically different in that regard.
