He was probably better for not going to uni..Whatever he did - having long talks with Jack Lang was one thing, and that wouldn't have done him any harm - he must have have good discussions with the right people because he was spot on with his economic policy at the time, not just his but Bob Hawke as well. Plus there were some wise people at the RBA then too. A crying shame that we don't have the same calibre of people in this ALP govt as we did back then. But these things go in cycles on both sides. The ALP will get good people again one day unless woke kills it
