When Chalmers said the provision of a $300 energy rebate is not inflationary then you know that Australia has a treasurer who has no fundamental understanding of economics. More money chasing t he same output of goods is inflationary. That is what John Maynard Keynes taught me in my economics degree.
Chalmers has no idea how business operates and has no idea about the principles of economic behaviour, all, in my book essential to be a good treasurer. Chalmers never stood a chance.
