Hello. I've been the sole buyer of food from supermarkets for the last 20 years. While rice increased in price, probably mostly due to the ASX listing of Sunrice, i have not noticed any significant rises in food prices, although for some reason olive oil has gone nuts in price. I shop prudently, buy rice when it is on special, and many other non-fresh items. As I posted already, the cost of living crisis is related to HOUSING. I have no housing issues therefore I simply notice food price are reasonable.

I don't drive a car but if petrol & gas prices have risen, this is obviously related to Australia's war on Russia. Its all in the governments hands. When interest rates were always 7% to 14%, we didn't complain about cost of living.

Low interest rates cause housing prices to rise & an unregulated housing market simply causes those with access to debt capital to outbid others.

We now live in the dog eat dog world of the chosen people.
