just catching up on posts. Thanks Boffin for digging that up. Different deal obviously, but as
@vintage said may be a comparable for DXB’s deal with Advanz. We discussed this a while ago, development plus commercialisation milestones in the ANN (details not disclosed). These were my thoughts also regarding funding Part 2. +/- potentially more licencing deals in the near future. It’s my gut feeling (which means nothing to anyone else, but just saying) that the next one may hit with confirmation of positive results from the first interim results in March 2024.
I’m certain there is a lot of ‘sitting on hands’ at the moment.
@Boffin99 you did ask about the MC & has DXB got a bad rep - yes I believe it may have following the crossover design DKD study, which I believe the results have been misinterpreted and also importantly, patients were allowed on that trial with SGLT2i as well (so any additional benefit on top of that a plus & these patients may have already been 30% improvement on ARB already). The other thing was much lower albuminuria threshold. If you go back & listen to the Webinar, I believe it may still be available & look at those results, it’s like some patients have reverted back to normoalbuminuria.
That was a black day that was when the topline results came out! It was dumped exponentially…I was at work, got a text from a fellow investor - “don’t look at your portfolio”! It was really disappointing, the Market reacted very strongly & DXB was being pumped on Twitter. I think a lot of traders may have got burnt badly. I remember one prominent pumper with many followers saying “I’m never touching DXB again”. So that may be a lot of it. My cloud thought: But you were pumping the shit out of it lol!
FSGS is different. However I agree with
@IndexInvestor, the Ph2 in FSGS is a small sample size & there was difficulty recruiting at the time in a Rare Disease & solely in Australia. They ended up opening an additional trial site in WA late in the study. Competition for patients in Rare diseases in clinical trials is a thing, but I don’t think we have any worries in Ph3 Action trial.
So we have to take all of that onboard to understand the history as to why our MC isn’t making a whole lot of sense right now. I am either a very patient person or an idiot. I didn’t dump my shares b4 results on DKD Ph2B. If you go look at that article I shared with
@butcherano there is some information in there about selection criteria on CKD trials also. It’s all making a lot more sense now with money being pumped into the CKD space & a lot more research, as it is a MASSIVE global problem & COVID-19 has not helped!
I believe also we will re-rate on positive results at Interim Analysis One - the Market want some confirmation. My thoughts are that Nina & the team have been doing a great, actually excellent job, it’s always been an uphill battle for DXB & Kidney disease has really got a lot more attention lately than it had when I first invested. It’s so important yet so hidden really.
