I strongly disagree. It only seems that way if you don't do the research. It is high risk, for sure, as there are no certainties that end points will be met.

But its not gambling which is just playing the odds and depending on luck. This is different. It is about backing a highly skilled team of scientists and managers with a molecule years in the making and development for a need that has huge commercial opportunity.

In short, while it is a high risk investment (notwithstanding the de-risking entailed in Phases 1 and 2a) - with a gambling element in terms of efficacy - there is nothing akin to gambling in backing the excellent Dimerix team, the IP, the beautifully executed Phase 3 trial design and the Advanz licensing.
