Gruzden talks about chemokine receptors in general and not specific sub types. There are heaps of factors that lead to tachyphylaxis and as VRS37 rightly pointed out there was no need for a dose escalation during the trial. What you need to factor in is that an angiotensin receptor aganosit is being used subsequently. There might be cellular receptor level mechanics at play here which are not entirely understood, perhaps by your nephrologist friend too.
The question to you is, why have you waited al this time to post something like this, especially this close to an announcement?
