Personally, I think that politicians and commentators have completely underestimated the take up of EVs. People are catching on to the advantages these vehicles have over ICEs and they don’t want to be caught with a near worthless banger in five years time. I think there is also a “wow” factor with EVs and that is very hard to put a figure too. Forget about the local bogans loosing their weekends, the rest of the world has moved on.
