Agree entirely. Aus. has the highest population growth rate of any OECD country.This is driven by ridiculously high level of immigration.
At the same time we have the highest per capita carbon emissions in the world. So in our case these two issues taken together will make it very difficult to achieve long term climate objectives, yet no political party except micro ones like the Sustainable Population Party will address the issue for fear of upsetting powering lobby groups. We could easily wind back immigration to about 100,000 which would achieve stable population growth.
Why aren't the Greens in support when its clearly an ecological imperative that we do so?
