NWS down today - obviously following US lead. Always wondered what drives this stock. What follows what? Is it dependant on where the majority of shareholders are based - say the US. Then Aussie market adjusts for currency position. Or is it much more complex than this? Im trying to understand whether NWS is good to continue to hold. Consolidation at these levels (on Aussie market) is ok, but really on US the stock is relatively close to year highs. So Im fearful that market correction in US along with high AUD, might see a considerable drop for NWS on Aussie market.
