I certainly haven't kicked a goal with this one so far. I just wanted the punters to know that I have stayed with it since I first posted on this one in August and I have bought several lots at prices between 13 and 15c. I am the buyer on top of the 13c bids right now.
These are tough times for manufacturers with the dollar going through the roof. Australian interest rates are several percentage points higher than most other countries and that is causing the dollar to surge with no signs of stopping right now but it won't always be like this. As other countries recover from the GFC the margin between their interest rates and ours will fall and I think the dollar will fall too. Most experts tell us our dollar is overvalued compared to other major countries and it seems logical in this situation where we lead the world in interest rates and enjoy a commodities price boom. The latter is unlikely to last forever too.
Capral is well placed to stumble its way through this tough period. It has very little debt and recorded its first profit (albeit small) in the six months to June 30. I still stress my main attraction to this one, net tangible assets of 39 cents versus a share price of 13c - very cheap assets. Also the market cap at the moment (50.44m) is about one eighth of the annual revenues. They don't come much cheaper than this.
It would certainly be nice to have a win on the Customs dumping case.
