I am not a gold expert but this is what I am reading:

    1) China is accumulating gold like it has never before.
    2) HC posters (cannot vouch for the integrity of posts but let's assume honesty) who work at bullion banks have written about lines to buy gold and NO sellers.
    3) There is a lot of speculation that paper gold is not supported by physical gold.
    4) There has been a long term relationship between the money supply and POG. As money printing continues, why will this relationship not hold?
    5) Have read about gold buyers paying a premium to the quoted spot price to acquire physical gold.
    6) There is strong speculation that economic numbers in the USA have been fudged and are not real. The Dow Jones breaking 15,000 looks like a classic bubble to me. How long can this rally continue?
    7) The current POG does not support new projects, thus impacting medium term supply. Companies such as SLR have reduced production.

Paper trading took oil to $30/barrel. Gold having significant downside risk in the medium term does not make any sense at all.
