you raise an interesting point SLAMPOIL about the HC disclosures.

I dont agree that they are meaningless. I think most posters are honest, in which case the HC disclosures have a similar meaning to directors disclosures.

We all recognise directors holdings and directors buying/selling have an effect on our perception of a share. OK, HC posters are not directors but if you assume that most of us are honest, and our reasons for posting are honest, then that disclosure is not meaningless as it clarifies other members thoughts on a post.

I'm 100% sure that there have been posters who attempt to manipulate shares via their posts and fudging their holding disclosure and sentiment.

I guess its all a matter of whether you trust the poster. But either way the disclosures are far from meaningless.
