Why might a director exercise a June 2009 option now rather than wait another 12 months before considering exercising? Perhaps the answer lies in the fact it may be more beneficial to hold shares rather than options, especially if there is going to be a capital raising available to all shareholders. The more shares held at cutoff date, the more shares that participate in any new issue. I suspect existing shareholders may be looked after by an issue rather than a share purchase plan that cuts out at $5000 in any proposed capital raising from instos.
