Located in the northern half of Central Kazakhstan, extending into sublatitudinal East-NorthEast direction for 330 km at a width of 30-40 km. Total area - 13766.63 sq.km. 10 ore clusters are conventionally identified within the zone; prospect evaluation survey is to be carried out in 7 ore clusters: Burnaksky, Koktas-Sharyktinsky, Spassky, Altyntobinsky, Hadzhikongan-Nurkazgansky, Shaytandinsky and Koktas-Zhartassky. Zhetymshokinsky, Kyzylshoky-Koktassky and Koktaszhalsky ore clusters are excluded. About 150 ore occurences and mineralization points are detected within the ore clusters, as well as eight deposits (which names are given to part of the ore clusters): Koktas-Sharykty, Kyzylshoky, Altyntobe, Hadzhikongan, Shokay. In addition, outside the ore clusters, but within Spasskaya mineralization, about 350 points of copper mineralization (sampling points, which revealed an increased copper grade of more than 0.1%) were discovered; they continuously trace the Spasskaya zone along its strike. As of 01.01.2009 Spasskaya mineralization potential resources in the C2 category are estimated at 1353 thousand tons of copper, and in P1 category potential resources are estimated at 775.8 thousand tones of copper; in the P2 category - 1198 tones of copper at the average copper grade – 1.0%. The total potential reserves in C2 category and potential resources in the P1 + P2 categories are estimated at 3326.8 thousand tons of copper.
