One Q I posted to ASIC was:
"I'm writing to you regarding the offer from BHP to UMC on 16.10.09. How can I, as an investor, make an informed decision on whether to sell my stake in UMC to BHP when the board of UMC has not provided me with the details from the assay results from Mt Robinson, which is part of the UMC tennement. Without the disclosures of those assay results ( which I am entitled to do as they have been forwarded to the appropriate labs) I cannot gauge the true value of what the company is potentially worth, again because the UMC board has not given the full details. In the end I must weigh up whether all of the assests measure up to the $1.30 offer and without full disclosure about the resource potential in Mt Robinson (the boards duty of continual price sensitive disclosure to the market and shareholders by the UMC board), I cannot. Would appreciate your advise with this situation."
