It is interesting to know that development costs for an underground mine do not vary no matter how the orebody is shaped.

It interested me that they were selectively high grade mining the open pit by the slot method.

I thought that the idea of an open pit was to use huge machinery on it and dig it out spirally until you got to the bottom of the oxide ore.

They are just lucky I guess that they have a very rich(
?) pod of ore so close to the surface..........hope it doesn't affect the head grade later on !
