T4P i hope you don't mind.. but after you last post.. it got me questioning those exact things.. so i put it in an email back to the direct and this was his reply

Listed companies operate under strict continuous disclosure rules where we are compelled to immediately announce any information we come into possession of that we think may affect the price – good news or bad. This can be difficult to manage as sometimes the “picture” only emerges after some analysis of the situation as we don’t want to make announcements which unnecessarily “spook” the market as you put it. The scenario you paint below is entirely possible – the fact that we are pushing the hole on implies we believe we may hit the target – this fact appears to have escaped today’s sellers of the stock.
