I was a perfectly good theory ruined by a disappointing reality. I still think it was a solid piece of reasoning. For all we know out theory was correct and the fairy tale ending just fell through because of contract hold-ups etc. As others have noted they really shouldn't be holding back information from the market just to deliver it on a 'special' date for commemerative purposes, etc.

Anyway I hav noticed the SP holding up pretty well still. Just because the announcement missed GJ retirement date doesn't mean it's a long way off. I believe we're still close (prior to December certainly and in all likelihood by November unless they want a tense AGM) and it looks like the market holds a similar view (or the SP would be in retreat).
