CEY just signed new thermal contract deal @ US$53 - so much for the price drop to $40 ! Directors know what is going on: Meanwhile, NSW coal miner Centennial Coal yesterday signed up Taiwan state-owned Taipower as a new customer in a five-year deal. Taipower will buy 500,000 tonnes of thermal coal a year from Centennial's expanded Clarence mine, which at benchmark contract prices would be worth about $US26.5 million a year.
Centennial is now in the early stages of assessing a further expansion of the 2.25 million tonne a year Clarence mine after securing an extension of the lease area.
