So this morning iminvestor101 flows onto our threads and he's the yin to Protagonists yang. He's polite, courteous, self-deprecating but systematically questions everything - the sophisticated Troll.
I have learnt on Hot Copper why politicians leverage Fear campaigns to win elections. It's so easy.
I do want to respond to iminvestor101's questioning about the management of the company.
Chairman - Gary Comb
He is a mine builder. He's done it twice before successfully once as a Managing Director and once as a Chairman. I attach the details here:
As Managing Director of Jabiru Metals Ltd he oversaw the feasibility, construction and operation of the Jaguar copper/zinc/silver mine in Western Australia, along with the successful sale of the company to Independence Group NL in 2011. During his time as Chairman of Finders Resources, the Wetar copper project was taken through DFS, financing, construction and successful operation.
He's been successful.
Simon Noon - Managing Director
I doubt that BML would have bought Sorby Hills without Simon Noon. The market cap has grown from $6 Million to $54 Million as a result of the acquisition and keep in mind the company only paid around $4 Million for it. And at $4 Million - hows that for deep value. He has proven over and over again that he is a great negotiator.
Further, Sorby Hills has had a series of high profile owners over the last 50 years like BHP but all of them fumbled the opportunity in one way or another. To his credit he saw the opportunity and has leveraged it for all its worth.
David English - Chief Operating Officer
Again, he's a mine builder. I attach the details here:
In previous roles, David has overseen a range of greenfield and brownfield projects from initiation to completion, including the development of the Sandfire Resources Degrussa project and the IGO (initially Sandfire Resources) Nova Project.
He has a solid operations background having held roles overseeing maintenance, engineering, operations, and site management across a number of commodities including coal, iron ore, gold, alumina processing, titanium dioxide processing, nickel, vanadium, and copper.
Further, Richard Monti who is our previous Chairman still sits on our board and remains a top 20 shareholder. I could go on however I think you get the point. The idea that we don't have the right team in place is nonsense.
