i wouldnt refer to those posts as trolling - except perhaps the part re pms getting smashed - word choice is instructive
reads more like an appraisal of possibilities
one has to accept there's a risk that everything does go pear shaped for ever investment thesis
but the odds, history and charts say either aggregate demand bust or good demand inflationary boom - gold/silver storm and perform
what PMs hate is 'normal' - low and falling US debt/gdp, high per capita productivity = ability to raise interest rates without much slowing in gdp - that is PM kryptonite
get an aggregate demand bust now - US debt/gdp goes from 128% to 150% in a heartbeat purely due the fall in GDP + tax receipts then add the current account deficit going much higher
USD would get a big as a safety bet - but more money would flow to gold and so silver because its no longer a safe bet on trend due fast deteriorating underpinning
people keep calling them deflationary busts - it and they are wrong to do so.
they are linking inflation to aggregate demand - which isnt always linked.
otherwise you could never get hyperinflationary busts like Venezuela
