the reason they fixed gold price was to stop people flocking to it and undermining both demand and MV of USD
silver price was not fixed. nor were gold stocks. the behaviour in gold stocks and silver are the tale of the tape
and no - gold price frequently rises with rising nominal yields if its in a primarily negative real rate environment
the key to gold price's bond alt bid isnt noms its the forward expectation for real rates to rise significantly without US gdp suffering
now that shows a lack of understandingthe reason they fixed gold...
