Isn't it often the norm for penny dreadfuls where a company will reach a SP spike/high during exploration phase, drop substantially while they try and raise capital and build mine/plant and SP doesn't start to recover until production is in full swing?

So are there really many surprises here for investors that got caught out buying in during highs while it would be obvious the company would dilute to raise capital etc.
