directors lack of buying

just wondering how Adrian answered the question as to the reasons he and his executives were not prepared to put their blood on the carpet in other words were not willing to invest their own monies on purchasing NWT shares on the open market,just being happy to accept free shares and options.It is a fact that WHETHER or not Directors are buying on the open market can be a key indicator as to whether other investors take the plunge. In fact I used to have a subscription to a Report that closely watched and monitored the buying and selling of shares by the key personnel in an organization.So I'd be be very interested in his answer.
