Lets look at it from another angle....if there was bad news coming in relation to the partnering agreement then I doubt Toby would be selling given the Insider Trading rules. If there is good news coming in relation to the partnering agreement then those Insider Trading rules would not apply to him selling ahead of such good news and the expected rise in the share price.
Further, as he has flagged an agreement will be finalized before EOY, he would be in big trouble if this doesn't eventuate and the share price falls from here.
Everyone has their own reasons for selling stock and he still holds a truckload of SMN.
