The three proposed new board members were also present sitting amongst the shareholders attending the meeting and were prepared to take questions.
I asked Russell Middleton "you obviously value Ken Nilsson as you want him to stay on, what plans have you got if you succeed taking a place on the board and Ken resigns"
He replied that no one is indispensable and he would be replaced (he didn't say if they had anyone in mind or not) and that there would have to be a succession plan in place anyway.
Peter Stern added that they are also putting succession plans in place.
Peter Stern had also stated that there is a "hump" for the company to get over and once they do, their plans are to direct the company in the direction it used to be in.......do the simple things well and get the shareprice heading back up.
Looking forward to that!

Hotmix, was there many shareholders there?
I appreciate try has had problems and the SP has suffered but I do wonder why RIM had so much support given they had no provided shareholders with any indication of their plans and intentions. Unless of course they contacted major shareholders directly
