thats kinda how i see it. just a question of how comfortable you are having 50-100k tied up for with no end date and living through the ups and downs. personally any cash that i invest is not beholden to anything so I'm content to ride it out as its not ear marked for kids school fees or new tyres or whatever.
the opportunity cost is a consideration as i could have invested elsewhere... but ultimately thats just lying to myself as i have no more insight into what will bag next anymore than i know when the sad sacks at the EPA will stop sniffing glue and get on with it. so stick to the strategy, build strong positions at weak prices in companies with good prospects.
