Nah - it is a lot more advanced than you would think. You should look into it.
Technology is going to need to progress a lot quicker if the intention is wind and solar by 2030 or whatever they hope.
Solar on the home is fine for now.. till you have 40sqm of spent panels to deal with at EOL. 15-20 years tops depending on conditions with current tech and not great for the environment when disposing. Panel technology is improving though.
Turbines need to be too big to be viable for a typical home.
